Spotted odd outlets whilst flushing Mercury 2-stroke 15hp

Guys,

Took the boat out this past weekend for the first time in a while, after getting home I mounted it onto my stand and dropped the end in a bucket of water to flush it through.

I noticed two outlets at the bottom through which water flowed and wondered if this is correct/by design or whether there's a plug of some sort missing? There are two such outlets, one on each side.

We have the same engine. It's normal, I asked almost a year ago about mine. See my image with water flowing from the same place.

Many thanks, that's a relief! Started it up after storing it away for Winter and it ran beautifully! Took a few pulls to get it started, but then realised that I hadn't pulled out the 'choke' type mechanism for its initial start
