Solas Prop

Will be sea trialing a couple of props tomorrow, one a Solas.

I seem to remember reading that these props had bush/hub problems, can anyone enlighten me please, or is everything OK.

Andy

Yes - my Solas prop's bushing failed. However, at 90hp you shouldn't have problems as I'm told that the Solas bushings only have problems when fitted to 130hp engines and above. Needless to say, we have a non-Solas bushing on the Solas prop now!

Hi Richard,

After how many hours did the bush fail? Also, what bush did you use as replacement?

Cheers.

Ian.

Yeh, I was reading about yours Richard, I'm sure that I've read something more recent though, where quite a few Peeps said they had problems?
