RIBase
Solas 4 blade prop

This arrived today, should get to test it in France in a couple of weeks. It's going on a DF140 which currently has a Suzuki 3 blade stainless 14x21. The Solas is a 13x21, I'm a bit concerned about the reduction in diameter, but I'm hoping that this will offset the additional blade. I currently get 6000rpm WOT & 1.2nm/l, but the boat is skitty & prone to chine walking at above 35kn. I've had good results before with 4 bladed props, time will tell🙄

I've stuck a 13 x 21 on mine to test instead of the 14x19 that it came with.

The 13" diameter allows more trim option and better grip in my opinion smaller diameter has done no harm at all.

Both of these props are old and damaged slightly so very keen to hear how you far with this one

Please keep me posted as I'm after buying a new shiny one!
