Question about Merc Opti's

Does anybody know much about the history of major updates to these? I'm specifically trying to find out if there was any major changes to the 225's between 2000 and 2003.

I've been offered a pair of 2000's, 2001's and 2003's. They're priced accordingly although the 03's are a bit of a step up in price, I'm tempted by these but wondering if they're worth paying the extra for?

Any thoughts welcome ta.
