Popping sound - Yam 100

Hi,

the engine sounds fine when on tickover or under power however there is an intermittent popping sound. Was wondering whether there was something in the fuel.

All, well nearly all, suggestions gratefully received.

No valve clearance or broken valve spring.

If its a high pitched noise or a squeak, it's usually the bottom crankcase seal. If bottom plug has a Red colour it usually indicated the crank is pulling in water. Leads to bearing damage and partial seizure.
