Outboard servicing

I'm looking for someone to service an old Yamaha 85 for me. I've always used Andy Clark before, but he's gone on the missing list recently (unless anyone else knows how to track him down!).

Any recommendations? Preferably over towards Brighton, but I don't mind dragging the boat further west if necessary.

Theres a bloke who will come to you who I have heard good things about. Jimbo will be able to give you his real surname, but its sounds like Steve Amerto....

John Andy did some work on my engine late last year. I will see if he is still there in the morning.

Steve Amato from Sea Marine - he does a lot of work with Sea Start, and comes well recommended for Opti's (Steve if you're reading this - you owe me a beer!).

You can get him through Dave Boat Care on 07984 00509. Can't find Steve's number, although I think I have his card at home (I'm still at work

) Will try and dig it out when I return.

Ang On, doesn't andy have strict rules about not touching motors older than he is?

Actually he did refuse to service the first outboard I ever took to him on the grounds that if he started taking it apart he doubted whether it would go back together!

I heard from Andy Clark out of the blue today. He's been doing other stuff for a while but is back looking for work at the moment so if anybody is looking to take on a very meticulous outboard engineer send me a PM and I'll pass your details on to him.
