Optimax Data reading

I'm awaiting delivery of the 2003 225 Optimax that I've purchased to re-engine 'The Nashers Revenge'.

This will be the most modern Outboard I've ever owned, and as such has the option for me to plug in and retrieve data plus fault find.

I'm well up to speed with doing this as I have some quite sophisticated dedicated equipment for my Discovery 4 that I can even re-flash ECUs with. I also have more generic gear for working on other family vehicles.

So what are my options with the Optimax?
I'm assuming a 2003 engine will have Fault codes etc like a similar aged car.

Thanks

Nasher

Some of it will come up on the smartcraft, (water pressure/engine hours/temp etc) but for anything technical you'll need either a copy of the Brunswick diagnostic CD or something similar (which is hard to get-tried it!), or a Digital Diagnostic Tool with the correct cartridges. Probably better to ask on Boatmad about this, they mess with this stuff all the time.

There's an aftermarket kit as well, but its expensive.
Have you got the blue air injectors in there?

Hello mate

Maybe not as easy as I thought then.

I don't know about the Air Injectors, I'll have a look when it arrives, where do I find them?

Nasher.

Under the fuel rail.

I think the 03 is blue injectors, mine was an 02 with black (the unreliable) ones but they got changed for blue.

Best image I could find is here-in the red box.

There appears to be a little bit of Blue sticking out from the middle pot in this image that I was sent.
