Opti 90

How can I find out the Part Ex/ Sale value of a 5 year old Optimax 90 which had a new powerhead last year?

Can't be worth more than a fiver - I'll give you £20 for it!

Joking aside, is it worth phoning round the dealers? I did that with my car a couple of months ago to test the waters. certainly got a differnet ambient price to what I was seeing on t'net.

Its trade in value is around £2,050 on a new unit, slightly higher than buy-in (i.e you walk in solely to sell without buying another from them) to secure the sale. Retail then with warranty etc from the selling dealer. Private sale = less - usually.

Thing is though, as we all know the 2nd market is quite scarce of decent, modern Outboards, particularly 90hp+ so typically its an easy sell.

Trade in would then be around £2720

This is according to the insurance loss adjusters figures. It would also be a similar figure for stolen payouts etc.
