As title says seen this up for sale. Looks good. But is this worth it? I've checked the serial and going by the serial it's a 1982
Seems to be well looked after or is it just to much of a risk to take?

Big, heavy and the carb internals on old Johnnyrudes don't like ethanol in fuel. Plus it's crank rated not prop rated HP.

I wouldn't expect much improvement over the 6hp Yam in your profile.

All in all, I'd say not worth it.

Ok brill thanks for the quick response , I will give it a miss.
The wee Yamaha has impressed me so will likely look for a bigger 1 of them, have been promised first shout on a mariner 15, but boat only rated to 10hp.
Maybe a new boat I should really be looking at. Lol.

I can see my future with multiple engine/boats scattered all over the garden .lol.
