Depends ...........it probably wont make too much difference ........

If my memory serves me right it is lower gearing for engines that are moving heavy loads ...........go and eat some more pies

I had a high thrust yam on a boat gear box was 3-1 as apposed to 2-1 ish for heavy loads I also had a Johnson 15 commercial says it on it wasn't aware of the gear ratio but it was on a 310 zodiac solid and flew one up big boned guy
