Mercury Optimax 200

Hi Guys,
I am putting a 200 Opti on the back of my 6.4m. Those of you that own one or have been for a ride with one on the back, I'd love to hear how they go and what size rib it was on the back of.
Cheers guys.

A 6.4 metre RIB with a 200hp Opti on the back is going to go like a rocket. What RIB is it going on?

Im pretty sure falcon/rib-x say the the max engine size on their 6.4m is 200hp but talking with colin at rib-x he said it was perfectly matched to a suzuki 140 and that 200hp isn't really sensible.

200 opti

looking at the engine min max for the solent range on 6.5
135hp and 225hp, a 200hp will make it a rocket machine, the hull
on the solent is deep v similar to yours, so good luck, and hang on
my 6.9 has 150hp and goes 43 knot sog so would be interested to see what speeds you can reach with that extra 50hp

It is indeed going on a Rib-X 6.4. Am taking delivery hopefully on easter w/e if all goes to plan. Will let you all know how it goes. By all accounts the Rib-X/Falcon hulls are very fast so it will interesting to see what it gets up to.
