Mercury/Mariner kill cords

I bought my new boat today which has a mariner 60hp. I am made up with the boat but the engine has come with the fabric kill cord that wears out quickly. I've looked for other replacements however none seem to have a metal core or clip they all seem to be a bit plasticky. Does anyone know of a better kill cord with the Mercury/Mariner fitting?
