Cheers for the reply Jizm, all connection have been stripped and clean and still no difference.

does anyone know where i would get technical information on the wiring of these engines?
I have tested all components and got the figures but not got any technical data to compare these figures too. cheers

I have it electronically and lots of spares. Did the motor go into guardian mode?

yeah me too bud. no was cruising at 20 knots and all of a sudden got all the codes come up. the engine was hunting giving me power then with drawing it. i have tested the 5 volt system and i am getting power to all the sensors. i have tested the sensors on ohms and have a list of readings but i require information to compare them too. if i can confirm that the sensors are ok then i suspect it being the pcm (ecu)

I had a problem last year when my 150 Opti would suddenly go into limp mode and give all sorts of errors on the SmartCraft (unfortunately can't remember what they were...)

Eventually was traced to the paddle wheel on the transom. Had a fault and was pulling the supply voltage down to 1V instead of 5V and then messing up lots of other sensors. The easy solution would be to unplug the paddle wheel (the dealer who fixed it said he doesn't fit them since they're more bother than they're worth), but I got it replaced. You probably don't have a paddle wheel fitted, but certainly worth continuing to look at supply voltages to sensors....
