Mariner / Yamaha 2HP parts

Our little egg whisk is without spark, and I suspect that the coil may be at fault. most of the parts for this engine are no longer available and the few places in the US that might have them seem to want more than the engine is worth for the part. Does anyone have an old 2HP they are looking to shift or any parts for one ?

Quite a few Yam 2hp engines on Ebay just now. Even the odd one that's been broken for spares is a tad expensive. You might be better off trying somewhere like this. Looks like the Fred Dibnah of the outboard world, but more often than not they may have a coil kicking about.

I've got a mariner 2.5 here that I no longer use. I bet its not used a full tank of fuel. Its sat up the front of my fishing boat most of its life and never got used.

Its a long way from you but if it can be done its yours for £180

My 2A didn't have a spark when I bought it for £50... Just needed the points cleaning & re gapping. It's now my auxiliary!
