Mariner serial number and spare parts

Hi

I was looking for the serial number on the leg of a Mariner 60 2 stroke . The only number I could find was one stamped on the engine head 9764600 . Is this the correct serial number to use when ordering parts ?.
This brings me onto my next question . Anybody recommend somebody who does Mariner spares and also does mail-order ?.

Thanks
Tim

Hi TimM
Check out http://www.ribsmarine.co.uk/parts.php

You need to register before you order.

Serial No is usually on the Yoke.

Regards

Brian

the serial number is on one of those metalic sticky labels, these infortunately can come off usually leaving a warranty void if removed backup label!

The number on your block should be enough to go with

If it makes you feel any better, I know my engine is a "...ury". Most of those labels fall off in their entirety, for some bizarre reason, the top right corner of mine is still clinging on......

Number on the head is (or should be) the same as the one on the leg. It's a bit like modern Ford cars where you can see the chassis number in the windscreen, but it's also stamped on the floor under the carpets.

I'm going from memory here, but that looks like a Yam respray type serial number, in which case with a number like that, I wouldn't loose sleep over invalidated warrnaty!
