Mariner remote problem

Hi guys,
I have a mariner remote with kill switch and turn key ignition. It also had a wiring loom.
My engine is pull start so I removed the ignition barrel and wiring, and just wired up the kill switch to some flex which I will run around to the engine. I also removed the wiring loom.
I mounted it on my console, and the discovered the gear selector cable wasn't moving when the remote was operated, but the throttle cable operates.

It was originally working. I have opened it up, but cannot see what has changed. When I push and pull the cable end, something trys to happen in the remote.

Does anyone have an exploded diagram, or any idea what I might have missed?
There is still some kind of switch in the throttle, I disconnected it, but I don't think it will affect the cable?

Many thanks for all help,
Geoff

Managed to get it sorted out after much taking apart and putting back together.
It was actually the throttle cable that wasn't reacting, but it is now.
So another tick in the box before May.
Cheers,
Geoff
