Does anybody have fuel figures available for a Mariner 75 elpto 2002 , its going to push a 5.1 m rib I dont know the weight of the rib, the motor like the Mercury equavilent has built in two stroke tank Id be keen to know oil ratio it burns and recommended oil to use.

Gavin it will use 7.5 gph at WOT and 6gph at fast cruising. I think you will achieve about 35 mph at WOT. Use Quicksilver 2 stroke oil its a good quality oil. Not sure of the ratio as the merc mixes the oil with the fuel before it goes through the carbs. Its not adjustable anyway so plan on 50:1 eg a litre of oil for 50 l of petrol or 2 red cans.

Figures based on an Osprey sparrowhawk 5.2m (200 kg hull) and Viper 5.25 which I had with a 75 merc.

Nice engines lots of touque and with the oil injection in the power head quite a neat installation is possible.

Bottle of Port says the best size Aluminium prop is 17"
