Mariner 15 hp 2 stroke help.

Hi gang

I have recently replaced the carb gaskets etc on a mid 90s mariner. When it has ran for a while its great, but its a bugger to get started. The mixture screw is set to 1 1/4 from lightly seated. Any help would be great.

Cheers
Lee

re-set the idle air screw (mixture) one and a half turns out from lightly seated, Is it the correct gasket? it reads as its a fuel problem all fuel tankand lines ok, if it has only started when you put a gasket in between the carb and reed block, if it has tahe out the gasket re-fit the carb is it ok now? float sticking? crap (dirt in the carb)?
