Is a Optimax Super charged?

As I understand the Optimax engine has an compressed air system that injects high pressure air (80psi) into the cylinder along with the fuel. Now in my book thats supercharging, or am I missing something.

No and yes!

No it isn't supercharged and yes you are missing something!

It uses a smal amount of compressed air in the fuel injection process - it doesn't compress all the air going into the engine like a supercharger or turbocharger does - hope that helps - Cookee

Nope but they feel like they are turbo charged. Hit 3000 revs and hold on tight forget the gf an opti on full throttle will give you the ride of your life
