Identifying Tohatsu outboard

This boat, trailer and outboard is available to me for €1300. I'm thinking the outboard could be good for a Zodiac Futura S.

The engine has been painted blue on the outside with some stickers. It is advertised as a Tohatsu 35 hp. The id plate is gone. As far as I can't tell Tohatsu never made a 35 hp engine that could match. I'm guessing this is a Nissan NS25, NS30 or NS40. It is the short shaft version.

Is there any way to tell these egines apart? Can anyone make an educated guess as to how old it could be?

Any opinions on this engine in general?

It's a Tohatsu 35hp M35A circa 1980?

It's a difficult time to guess a value, but thereabouts I suppose.
