Hub kit?

Hi,

I have a Mariner 10 x 19" Prop P/N 73146A40 which has a big sticker on it stating "Requires a FloTorq Reflex Hub kit part number 835257K12 or 835257Q12."

Having got hold of a 835257K12 (new in box via eBay) it doesn't fit (too big).

I'm now at a loss to know whether:
a) The label is wrong, the hub kit box and hub kit are correct
b) The label is correct and the hub kit box is incorrectly labelled.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Hugh

What engine are you trying to fit it to?

Sorry! Yes, its a Mariner 60, 3Cyl 2-stroke (13 spline prop shaft IIRC) going back to about '92

Hi,

No, its not a Bigfoot.

That's two of your twenty questions used up!

I've found the engine s/n: its 9921388, if that gives any clues.

Many thanks
Hugh

Here are some pics of the kits you referenced:
Mercury Parts Express - Catalog :: Propellers :: Propeller Hardware and Accessories :: Flo-Torq Reflex Hub Kits

Are you sure the sleeve (pic at the bottom) isn't the issue?

I've never dealt with the removable hubs, so I'm guessing here.

And installation instructions:
Reflex | Mercury Marine

specifically, the link in the blue box halfway down.

Thanks.

The one I have is a single-part Delrin sleeve, so further head-scratching is required. Hmmm, looks like it might be the wrong one...

Had a look in the books today. Cant seem to see your propeller listed although it does exist! The Hub kit is listed for the 4 stroke engine but not for the 2 stroke. So im slightly confused too!

Thanks TD. I think I'll find a different prop!
