Honda bottom end

Anybody know where I can get a short shaft bottom end for a Honda 2.3hp?
Had a look on fleabay with no joy.
I just want to change my aux to short shaft as the new storage place inboard and the new tender make a long shaft a bit awkward.
|I was just going to flog mine and buy new till I saw the price of a new one............

Hi, you only need the driveshaft.I have found these reasonable with parts. The price for a drive shaft is 72 dollars. You could always sell the longer driveshaft and extension piece on e bay to fund the cost of the new shaft

RIBase
Hi Bruce have you tried Colin Robertson at Ardoran Marine as Honda & Susi dealers they usually have 'stuff' lying around. Hope this helps. When are you leaving the west? Will you be back for ERR?
If I don't run into you at ERR all the best in your new venture and I am sure you will not dessert the west completely!

No extension piece on mine, one piece bottom end plus the skeg. The driveshaft tube would need to chanegd completely.

I was up talking to Colin this afternoon and it turns out mine is a standard leg. It just seems very long compared to the short leg aux I had before and unfortunately Honda don't make anything shorter.
When its on the tender it is really hard not bouncing it off rocks etc as it stick down under the hull so much. I had been hoping to convert it to a shorter version but hey ho.
