Honda BF 15 HP (Gap between the Low end Plastic Covers)

Dear All,
Maybe my question is stupid but wanted your views on this if possible.
Noticed a small gap (opening) on the plastic covers on the back of my Honda BF 15HP. I attach pictures. Do you think this is material and that I should ask a mechanic to look into it? Engine works fine and engine cover closes firmly.
Thank you for your thoughts.
