fuel tank location

I have recently bought a 4.5m ribeye and the fuel tank is located under the jockey seat, along with the battery. I notice that the boat has a dedicated 'cut out' at the stern for a tank. ~Which is the best placement. I only have a small 30hp 4stroke mariner, which is already tail heavy.

I am new to this so any advice is welcomed

A bit confused !

A 30 should not make a 4.5m boat stern heavy, but if it all sits happily under the seat & is vented I'd leave it as is.

Unless I missed something ?

fuel tank

The seat area is not vented, but I gues the seat is not an exact fit. with ref to the engine, I guess its somewhat large in size vrs the power output, and much heavier than most similar engines. thanks for your response
