Experience with "Smart Tabs" ?

I have a 19.6 sports fisher with a 115 4 stroke on the tail which in my opinion is slightly underpowered for the weight of the boat. I'm considering smart tabs (not electronic trim tabs) to aid lift out of the hole, cornering stability and weight distribution balancing. Does anyone have experience with smart tabs ?

I don't think you are underpowered but suspect the weight distribution might be off. Just sitting there at anchor it looks pretty stern heavy to me, maybe its the way its painted or the sloping top lines.

I tried smart tabs on my old 12.5ft SIB. They were ok, not the miracle cure the marketing would suggest. But on something that small there aren't that many options.

For a boat the size of yours I would get proper electric or hydraulic tabs, not only will they be adjustable for the load (smart tabs are not) but you can also balance out the forces laterally (if all the heavy people sit on one side etc)
