Evinrude fitch ram 90 what's it worth

Hi I just acquired an evinrude fitch ram 90 hp engine with low compression on one cylinder
Apparently one of the head gasket 'o' rings failed & was replaced but there was water marks in the bore & it still had no compression on the cylinder so suspect the rings are stuck on that bore
I'm just wondering what the engine would be worth before I do anything

It's fairly easy to get the piston out via the reed block so fitting rings doesn't mean a full strip down

Can't decide whether to sell it on ebay as is , break it for spares or fix it & sell it
What's the general opinion?

Quite a bit of info is on the ECU... You can make your owne cable up and download the software from various places to access the ECU...

However if its an easy job to repair and you can get the parts for a good price then a working 90HP on ebay would probably fetch £1500 plus.

Thanks Chris I guess a good starting point would be to interrogate the ecu & see what kind of hours etc it has done before I get too far into it
is the cable something I could buy reasonably cheaply ?
I'll try ebay but if there available elsewhere I'd appreciate a point in the right direction
Cheers
