no spark

dan you need to check if you have any AC VOLTAGE COMING OUT OF THE STATOR ASSY . Now this all depends on what model, year your outboard is ? Has this engine got a switchbox assy or powerpack as evinrude call them ? Its a rectangle box on the side of it with wires coming from under the flywheel and wires going off too the ignition coils . If it has you need to get a metre and set too AC and check the voltage of the wires coming from under the flywhell going onto the pack . NOW the powerpack changes the voltage too DC which is battery 12v to send too ignition coils . If you have voltage going onto the pack then you need too check the output voltage going too the coils . if no output pack is faulty . HEY check all you engine black grounds are good . Sounds all confusing this . any other ? let me know . baz
