engine not starting

Hi all,
Tried starting my 50hp 2 stroke Selva today, turns over but doesn't seem to want to fire.
Not sure if its sparking, apart from the plugs what are the first things to check?
I have run it monthly through out the winter with no problems at all.

Is your kill switch on and working correctly?

first pull the plug to see if you have a spark, if you have then spray a two stroke mix through the air intake using a spray bottle if it briefly fires then you can determin wether its fuel or spark
