Its about the go of one of these engines .no favours here only relieving you of your old unit.. I would have advised against Tohatsu one time but when you see some of the bigger names like HONDA not naming any in particular rotting from the inside out ,now I would say its as good as

You can buy one for £2k so can you sell current outboard for more than £500? If so offer isn’t great but it’s aimed at low hassle (well apart from shipping an outboard) deal to change over from an XYZ to a new tohatsu with a long warranty..... could be ideal but probably not worth buying a motor to p/x and may be better just asking for a no p/x price ...... could be ideal for sailing clubs etc with rescue or coaching boats looking to upgrade engines (if they get the warranty)

i guess if the part x engine is knackered then definitely but small motors fetch good money if running ok
