Advice on disposal/using old premix fuel

And when I say old, I mean at least 5yr old 2st premix. Was reluctantly looking over non-boating friends impulse Avon yabe purchase (he's no towbar!!), prev owner said boat had been in outbuilding last 5 yrs. automix u/s on the 60 so used premix on 60 and 10 backup . Checked in double console seat and found 3rd 22l tank labelled premix, full of fuel. How to dispose of it or could it be used, say 1 litre to 21l tankful? Thanks.

^ Can't hurt to try it. Chuck some octane booster in the first tank!

I'd maybe mix it 50/50 with fresh & use it I definitely wouldn't dump it

Run it in a petrol 4-stroke mower. Don't be tempted to use it in a 2-stroke strimmer or chainsaw as they run hotter.

I’ve never thrown fuel away, I just top up with fresh and go. The longest I’ve left fuel without being used is probably about 3-4 years following an illness.

Be a little careful with that one, tempting to think that a bit of extra oil in the fuel wont hurt your mower but it'll effectively be running 1-2% lean, which depending on how well its set up to start with might make no difference if its set to run rich, but if its already running lean, might lean to overheating & burnt pistons.
My advice..... Run it in your neighbours mower [emoji23][emoji23]

Donate it to someone with a big fuel tank 300l plus or someone with a TVO tractor as they run a petrol kerosene mix 15% petrol

I'm struggling with the lean mixture theory here[emoji2369], mixture refers to air/fuel ratio but two stroke oil burns so still a fuel & possibly has more energy content than the petrol which in theory would make it rich. In any case 1-2% lean on the fuel air ratio will make bugger all difference, its probably less than the elevation difference between lake windermere & the sea or a damp day or sunny day

What do you think my Honda Mower has been running on for as long as I can remember?

Thankfully not, 2 empty 22l yam brand tanks, qd connects plumbed to feed switch. 3rd full tank is plastic 20l like a cars spare can with a flex nozzle
