I have the 2018 Mariner 9.9... same OB apart from cowl cosmetics. At this moment it's hard to access in the garage but it just fits across the load space of my estate car which measures 42.5".

Fenlander, many thanks for your reply.

The load space of your car measures 42,5", correct? so I can obviously presume the motor is smaller.
Do you think that is it possible that is not above 39"?

It's a close fit in the 42.5" width so at 3.5" less I'm not sure it will go. By the way when you said to the top of the powerhead I assume you meant with the cowl on... we don't take ours off but that would gain a little?

Having kitchen mods done at the moment and the outboard is behind cupboards, freezer etc so can't get to measure.

Yes, I assume with the cowl on like in this picture: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:O...or_drawing.jpg

I only have 1 meter (39") wide on my car's boot. Maybe without the cowl the motor would fit....

If you contact Barrus they will be able to tell you. I managed to get full installation drawings and dimensions for the 115hp off of them.
