4. Hp. Yamaha 2 stroke.

Hi, I have a 4 hp. Yamaha 2 stroke, 4 AC it refuses to start. Can anyone on here recommend a good repair man within reasonable distance of South Yorkshire.

I have the Mariner version of this engine and they are quite easy to DIY diagnose.... at least to a point where you either can sort something simple or it needs a repairer for certain.

Have you looked at the spark plug to see if it's wet or dry when trying to start?

When was it last run?

Hi thanks for your reply, I had trouble with this engine last year and got fed up with it so put it at the back of the garage while I had time to look at it, but now need it fixing. I suspect electrical probs but dont have the gear to sort it. the plug was wet btw.
