Stick with a Yamaha 150 or a Merc 150.

Really?, towed 150 yam in twice Last year with electrical problems.

Any engine won't leave you stranded right up to the point it does.

Bar the quiet running speaking as someone with a Solent 690 I’d put an optimax back on [emoji1] I’m getting about 1 litre a mile on every run some at wot some cruising and as you had one on you know the fun factor [emoji41][emoji106]

225hp on a 690 with s laser 11 prop will get you to around 50 knots cruise very happily around 25 to 33 mph
