Burgees will be another couple of weeks or so, but they are on the way . . .

I'll be putting in another order for polo shirts and fleeces in the next couple of days. If anyone hasn't got round to ordering yet, now would be a good time to avoid waiting a few weeks!

Spin.... :) :)

We have invested in two polo shirts.

Bearing in mind other RIBnet punters like ourselves will be anxiously holding onto their few quid to see whether these new products are high quality, not from a sweatshop in Hove, or indeed any sort of splash of well-established makes like Ralph Lauren, bananashark clothing etc. (Research shows that NOT adding extra length in the transom should avoid Lacostly court cases cf the well-known 'tennis tail' so useful in sudden bends.)

They need to be tough enough for British weather, splashproof (see above) ample enough to fit your average punter (XXXL) and long enough to tuck into the jocks as needed (for cross channel trips).

The investment will undergo rigorous testing in a german washing machine (white water, speedy turns, force 40).

We will then examine the outcomes of the spin and write up the results in a prestigious boat magazine/website before investing any further.

Of course a discount voucher for our next order would ensure we would only report positive outcomes

K & P

PS Please send discount voucher privately so as not to compromise our 'Independent Reviewer' status

Kathleen and Paul,

You should have got your orders in early and then you would have got 10% off anyway....doh!

PS John, if you want me to give a windproof fleece a test, I'd be more than happy......

Not exactly. Last I heard was an email on 11 May: "Your order is just about to go into producton and will be ready for shipping in approximately
two weeks."

I sent another chase-up email yesterday . . .

Suggestions for future orders

John,

I used to order this kind of stuff for various organisations around the world, and very popular items were Beer Can Coolers (of course ) and disposable lighters - don't know if you're allowed to use them in the UK anymore, but they invariably get left lying around then piceked up by someone else, thus providing free advertising to the uniniatiated! Just a thought....
