Recent ribnet update on ipad

Hi,

I've updated the latest ribnet release on my iPad. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be working properly even though it works fine on my iPhone. I've deleted and reinstalled the app but many of the buttons still don't work. Is anybody else having this problem ?

Exactly the same problem here too on iPad 2. The forums and current buttons not responding, the others are ok.

The latest release is waaaay buggy and the issues have been reported to the app developer.

For the ipad you might try launching the app in with the device in portrait orientation and see if it helps.

For android users, some have reported good results uninstalling and reloading the app... but again it's a temp work around.

No - sadly, we're in a holding pattern waiting for an update from the app developer.

Eh? RIB.net is a website, provided free of charge to the public. Some users recognise the value to their lives and decide to make a small contribution to the cost of hosting the site etc.

Some people prefer to browse the forum via an App which the owners of the site make available free of charge; this despite the fact that the App comes with no Ads to provide that little bit of revenue the site gets. I have no idea what the commercial arrangement is for getting that App but as with all "free software" its a bit tricky to complain that it doesn't do what you want - you can always have a refund on the cost of the App if you wish! Or alternatively I am sure the owners would be happy to cooperate if you want to write a free app that provides all the functionality of the existing one?
