Callum, you might like it but it is not possible. You can of course simply log out and never come back. We’ve even had a few people who found that too difficult and asked us to ban them (if you need this - then use report post and the first admin to get to it will sort it for you) but we don’t delete posts which form part of the forum and it’s historical record.

Did I smell a flounce going on?
It's not like he's even got anything to flounce about. Nobody's been nasty to him OR taken away his teddy

Account blocked/banned
My post that has now turned into a thread, was at the end of Spartacus post “Ribcraft 4.8 reinvented” that a moderator/s have now deleted a load of the postsat the end of this thread.
It is now very common on Ribnet for posts to deviate into a bitching match.
I have opted to have my account blocked/banned: “We’ve even had a few people who found that too difficult and asked us to ban them (if you need this - then use report post and the first admin to get to it will sort it for you)”
Moderators can you please block/ban my account.
Thanks Callum.

Callum - it’s really not that common anymore since the whiners moved to Facebook. But as you wish to be locked out - consider it done.

Pretty disappointed Callum has left, genuinely nice guy and has a lot of rib knowledge as he's had everything from 5m ribs to 11m redbays with all the problems that come with such boats.
I do admit I'm just as much to blame with the bitchfest at times as I have no time for a few people on here so they were on the ignore list for quite a time, maybe others can make use of it more often.
Perhaps us as a rib community need to take a chill pill as it isn't right to be losing long term members due to stupid arguments, if we lose the old guard no one will know what ribs are shit or what common issues will come up. members should keep in mind this place is only as good as the attitude of everyone and everyone has their part to play.

There's more than one side to every story and it's not always the side that shouts loudest that's right.

Surely the bitching and disagreements make the forum more interesting?
It would be a boring place if everyone was all sweetness and apple pie perfect.
We can all say the wrong thing or rub people up the wrong way sometimes by accident sometimes intentionally but we're all big boys and get over it.
Even pub debates sometimes deteriorate into arguments but who cares you cant please all the folk all of the time.

Couldn't agree more Ken, some folk are so sensitive & precious. Maybe it's all part of the "I'm offended" culture that's filtering down to us bottom feeders.

I wouldn’t read too much into it - Callum tried to leave before, hasn’t owned a RIB for a few years, and wasn’t even participating in the thread that triggered his dramatic exit.
As a wee reminder though - there are some fairly common sense guidelines on behaviour and if people think they are being flouted they should use the report post option (as the admin team don’t read every post).

Callum doesn't own a RIB just now but his family have a 10m rib being built shortly I believe.....he'll be back!
