How do I close my Ribnet account
I have decided I would like to close my Ribnet account. I have had a look both in the "app" and by logging on via a web browser, but cannot see any "close account" button. Please can one of the mods let me know how I shut my account. If my account cannot be closed by me, please can one of the mods delete it for me.
Thanks
Chris

That's correct. If you don't want to join in any more then just don't post.

Bye everyone, I have learnt loads from Ribnet members and met some great people through RibNet. This will be my last post and I'll logoff now. If my account can be deleted please do so, if it can't just leave it dormant.
Chris

RHIBs
Why is it on our Facebook page all our group members are only out for one thing, enjoyment with a passion about boating, while RIBnet seems set in its own ways of just pissing members off, I asked a question and responded to several in the past and just seemed to be given s@@t well happy days thank the lord for a new forum, please remove my account and erase my details off your system, if you have a passion for boating whether hard boats or ribbing then maybe you Should Join the friendly site. Thank you

Sadly its a hobby of many, but sarcastic comments, rudeness or impolite comment is just not a forum is about, it's all about playing nicely, assisting fellow Ribsters with help and support, but so many negative comments come out of this forum can you blame people for moving away, or just not taking much notice, great shame as it had such a good making, but the truth is in the pudding??

I pray you, speak not. He grows worse and worse.

But go at once.

I've never noticed this forum to be particularly hostile or even excessively pi$$-takey, a bit 'cliquey' in places but then all enthusiast forums are. We all know the subjects that tend to illicit certain replies, if that offends then just avoid them.
If anyone wants to stop posting or even be deleted then surely you would just PM a mod?
If alternatively an 'I'm off!' topic is started you can bet there is a 'toys out of pram' reason behind it as mentioned.

How do I close my Ribnet account
It's obvious ribnet has a good share of self appointed jumped up individuals, but it is a well used useful site with some great people but as in life we must judge what's to be taken to heart, it's not family.
Sorry to see him go on such a matter ( especially after a probation period)

RIBnet is like the Foreign Legion. You can't leave, but you can go AWOL!
As long as everyone avoids discussing bleed'n Seariders, Land Rovers, lifejackets, and power at prop vs power at head, we'll all get along just fine.

You've only been a member for a couple of years, and seem to have been pretty happy here for most of that time.
You clearly believe that there have been major changes recently, and whilst some people share your view, many don't. These things tend to be cyclic and there have been a number of occasions over the years where groups of people have decided that RIBnet doesn't suit them. Life goes on.

I quite like the anonymity of Ribnet. It keeps Ribbing and pictures of people's dinners separate. I like a page which concentrates on one passion. Facebook is great too but this is fine for sharing info about bits n bobs.
