forum gremlins?

is anybody else finding strange things happening?

yesterday I tried to come on some time in the afternoon and got a message from the browser asking for username and password also the URL was different too so I cancelled the message and was told access was refused. Then later on last night it was fine again (I stay logged in all the time at home) but I have lots of "unread" posts going back a week or so?

Sorry I wasn't able to give more notice. I had some spare time over the weekend and grabbed the opportunity.

The forums were only down for an hour or so, but I've got a plan to make it even slicker next time (with an information page so everyone knows what's happening!)
