Unidentified charter boat

Bit of a long shot (and it's not even a RIB!) but wondering if anyone know's of the following charter boat;

Spotted in Poole on Saturday pm. 24ft(ish) hardboat with blue topsides and (I think) a white hull bottom. Possibly a Boston Whaler, or a similar(ish) cathedral hull design - it looked almost like a trimaran. Twin Mercury outboards (approx 150's - red stickers).

It had no obvious advertising on the side but suspect it was a charter/trip boat as had an aft console and appeared to be packed full with Jockey seats.

Guess it could be a locally based boat or one visitng from somewhere on South coast. Sorry - didn't have camera with me. Would be really interested to find out more on this.

Cheers,

John

I am training in Poole most weekends and can say that I have never seen this vessel which you describe. Are you sure the colouring is correct as it may of been a a boat belonging to the marines who are based in Poole.

Yes was definately dark blue, and a non-military vessel. Was probably then a boat from elsewhere. I just saw it from the beach heading into the harbour. Just two crew on board but looked like it must be some sort of charter boat.

Their is a boat that operates off the beach taking people for rides, but this was Yellow. Perhaps they have bought a new one.

Was it a Boston Whaler type (the yellow one) with lots of jockey seats?

Do you know what that company is called?

Thanks,

John

How about a mk2 rigid raider they have aft helm position and look like they are trimaran hulled from the front. They also have lots of jockey seating.
Were the outboards on a bracket over the stern?

Outboards were not on a metal bracket (I'm pretty sure) maybe on a GRP stand off bracket, but I think they were just on the transom.

I'm sure it was a leisure boat - nice finish, bit of stainless steel, standard engines/cowlings, dark blue and white in colour.

Yes it did look like a Rigid raider - the seating layout as well. Has anyone every done a nice leisure conversion on one of these??
