Stu - you might want to PM "Willbrooksy", assuming he has made it through all the various elements of the course so far he should have just sat the exam or be about to (http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=12892). He kind of got a bit of a mauling a couple of weeks ago, and he's on a bit of a zero-hero course so may now be reluctant to come forward for a mauling here too! It should however all be fresh in his head... and given where he is doing the course, you would like to think they will have covered the issue of putting relatively inexperienced people in charge of a boat in difficult conditions!

Your question is slightly "loaded" though and I'm not sure if I was in the right boat I would be coming forward to possibly get "shot down". Especially since in your other thread a handful of instructors and examiners have made clear that there has been no significant change to the information taught/examined since your all important date.

there was a reason for me asking the question and it wasn't too have a go at the RYA, hence a new thread. I've PM'd you my real reason for asking the questionn.

funny enough It was Willbrooksy's post that reminded me of the The Welsh spinal tap cruise. I suspect you are right about no students wanting to contribute to my thread anymore

Actually stu - I can't recall (m)any people saying on here that they have completed the course/exam in the last 6 months.
