My day 'job' is running Smile4Wessex (
Smile4Wessex : Introduction), the charity which funds projects at the Wessex Neurological Centre which is located at Southampton General Hospital, but which serves patients from across Hants, Dorset, Wilts, West Sussex, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands.
Each year, we hold a Charity Gala Dinner (this year taking place at Victoria House in Netley/Hamble on November 4th) and each year the majority of money raised comes from the charity auction.
This year, with the difficult economic climate, I am really struggling to acquire suitable auction lots and wondered whether any of the charter operators or trade members who frequent this site may be willing to offer something along the lines of a RIB experience or the like for us to auction? I appreciate that there may need to be some cost element, if only to cover fuel, but would be most grateful for any offers of assistance and will ensure any business that provides support is fully credited on the night and in promotional material for the event.
