SOLD - Ribcraft 5.45m for Private Sale. £7000. Mid Lancashire.
‘Katy Blue’ was purchased by myself new from Ribcraft in late 2001. The package included a factory fitted ‘A’ frame, 20 gallon internal tank, a stainless rack for dive cylinders, additional side protection on the tubes and two A-frame-mounted dry boxes.
A Suzuki DF90 and Suzuki DT4 (as back-up), then new, were fitted shortly afterwards by my local Suzuki dealer. The DF90 main gauge’s crude pointer indicates only ~180 hrs total run time, which (somewhat embarrassingly) feels about right. There is no dealer service history, but I will provide lots of paperwork relating to DIY servicing.
She has grey tubes, black rubbing strakes, a yellow hull and a grey anti-slip area. Plus a fairly new grey seat and back pad.
She sits on her original Rapide R2B55H trailer, with a recently refurbished hitch assembly and currently on its second axle.
She is fitted with an old Garmin Plotter, Icom M505 VHF (which appears to have just died), and a 2019 Lowrance Elite Ti2 ‘combo’ unit (with their 3 in 1 sensor).
So, yes, all the main bits are nearly 25 years old, but I think you’d be impressed how good she looks. Especially the tubes; she has been well cared for!
She comes complete with 25 years of paperwork, and all my spares including props, loads of ropes, anchors, trailer spares, wheel-clamp, jerry cans, search-light, hailer horn, DF90 workshop manual, life-jackets, bearing press, etc, etc.
Her last outing was in Sep ’25 from Holyhead with my dive club, where she performed flawlessly. The attached photo is from that trip. The club actually wanted first refusal to buy her, but I’d rather make a clean break.
Selling because I’m getting too old!
I’ll start off asking for £7000, which I’ll drop by at least £500 for every month she remains unsold. Currently advertised here only, but I'll probably add a pointer to here from the Ribcraft FB group.
