2021 Excel Virago SR420 with Mercury 50ELPT - Only 20hrs + Warranty

2021 Excel Virago SR420 with Mercury 50ELPT and Extreme EXT500 Roller Trailer - Only 20hrs + Warranty

£14,750 o.n.o.
Location is Hinckley, Leicestershire, LE10 2HF

I love this RIB, it's brilliant. It will pain me greatly to part with it, but it just isn't getting the use it deserves, and it also feels wrong for such a capable boat to sit idle for so many weeks of the year.

The package was purchased new in October 2021, and boat & engine have the balance of the 5yr warranty in place (balance of 18-months I think on trailer/hubs).
A super-attractive and eye-catching vessel. It is kept garaged when not in use. Immaculate condition throughout. I have invested considerable time, energy and expense towards adding little extras to the standard package making it as practical, safe and easy to launch/retrieve as possible. It's basically ready to hit the water.

BOAT
- EXCEL VIRAGO SR420 RIGID INFLATABLE BOAT
- Hytex 1100 Tubes (3 Chambers) in Tornado Grey with Cirrus Accents
- Aluminium Hull
- LOA/Length Overall: 4.2m
- Beam/Width: 2.2m | INSIDE WIDTH = 120cm | TUBE DIAMETER = 50cm
Standard Equipment: Bow Handle, Self-Bailer, Repair Kit, Carrying Handles, Inflation Pump, Inflate/Deflate Valves, Rubbing Strake Fender, Pressure Release Valve, Helm Carbon Trim, Faux Teak Decking
Full Specs here: https://www.excel-inflatables.co.uk/...virago_420.php

This particular boat is equipped with:
- Helm Console LL with Locker, Forward Seat & Backrest
- Helm Seat Box L2 with Backrest
- Bow Locker
- Full Colour-coded Cushion Set with Two-tone Fabric & Diamond-stitched Inserts
- Console & Helm Seat Covers
- Transom Arch with Navigation Lights
- Repair Kit & Pump

I have added:
- Volcano Lock
- Fire Extinguisher
- Electric Bilge Pump
- Compass
- USB Charging Point
- CTEK Fast-connect Charging Lead with LED Battery Charge Indicator
- CTEK Fast-connect Cigar-Lighter Adapter

The USP of Excel RIBs is that they have a particularly wide beam, which provides excellent stability, but more fundamentally an inside/interior width that is probably 30cm/1-foot greater than comparable inflatable boats of similar length. This gives a feeling of space that is akin to being aboard a much larger RIB of around 5.5-6m, yet in a craft that fits inside my modest single garage.

Aluminium hull is lightweight and tough. Never anti-fouled, and remains in clean, bright, shiny condition.

ENGINE
- Mercury 50ELPT (50HP)
- Just 20.4hrs and with first dealer service stamp
- Speedometer/Volts/Revs/Trim Gauges
- 25L Portable Fuel Tank
Full Specs here: https://www.mercurymarine.com/en-gb/...30-60-hp/#tab1

Engine was carefully run-in according to the Mercury manual, and has the dealer first service stamp. Only 20.4 hours on the engine, with maybe half of these being in fresh water, although in salt-water or fresh water locations I have always flushed after use. Starts first kick and is very smooth. I believe this is a much-sought after engine that is not readily available at this time.

I've never experimented with different props, but even with the standard, this boat is capable of good acceleration and high speeds upwards of 35mph. Economy-wise, we covered around ~70km on Loch Lomond using around 33l fuel (cruising 20-25mph).

TRAILER
- Extreme EXT500 Roller Trailer (unbraked)
- Various Improvements added: Keel Roller, Lashing Eyes, Safety Tie-down
- Always washed with Fresh water after launching/retrieval
Full Specs here: https://www.extreme-trailers.co.uk/roller-range

INFORMATION
Entire boat fully rigged comes in around 300kg including engine, and is easy to tow and handle with a small crew or even solo.

Yet I don't believe these are readily available currently - Excel seemingly has/had one ready to go, and priced at £20k - But the Supply Chain difficulties continue to make everything more scarce... Plus the rising dollar is almost certain to push new prices up.

Location is Hinckley, Leicestershire, LE10 2HF

Asking £14,750 o.n.o.
I also have lots of other equipment such as Life Jackets that we could do a deal on, if interested.

There's much more I could say, but these ads can get pretty boring! Anyone interested can call/text me on 07875 880120 or email steve_bate@hotmail.com

Cheers!
