Don't try to do too much old mate, trust me. If you're like me and just want to get on with how you used to be. It won't work. Ease in gently mate and keep nibbling away at it

Hi everyone, just to let you all know I'm back home, AGAIN, don't ever want to go through that experience again !! thank you all for for your best wishes and kind comments, I won't bore you with the details because it's not a pleasant story, but the operation was a success, eventually, and my plumbing is now back together, nowhere near normal as yet but at least it's working. I'm gonna be out of action for a bit, as I'm sure Biffer will agree this stuff takes some getting over, so if I don't reply to any comments don't worry, it's just me taking time out.

Once again, many thanks for all your kind comments,
Cheers, Chris

Well done mate. Keep at it. No steak. Chicken and rice. Drink Guinness. Tea and richtea biscuit. Just little bits at a time. Slowly.

Good news Chris.

In all honesty, those of us who've been fortunate enough to avoid anything like this in our lives can't really begin to imagine what you're going through but heartfelt best wishes to you and Jayne.

Yep, they don't tell you nothing mate, I was fed fluid with a tube that went up my nose into my stomach for 6 month, trying to get back was a night mare, you're going to need food that doesn't bung you up and is easy to digest, steak is a bastard, rich tea are 38 calories each, dip in the tea for a couple of seconds, lovely, some of my findings won't relate to you as I couldn't swallow, but guts and rear end will for different reasons, you won't get bugger all form them now you been done, they threw me out, addicted to morpheme, on the wrong medication and it wasn't until something went wrong , like water retention, they would say oh yes that was to be expected, thanks for telling me, I've worried all over the weekend cause me ead blew up like a football, there's no aftercare from the NHS, you'll be laughing with me a few months down the line mate, two things to think about, you die if you worry and you die if you don't , so don't worry, and don't waste you're grey matter on something you can't alter, they are both related but if you think about them they make perfect sense above all don't lose your sense of humour
