You probably wouldn't say that if (a) you were a whale, or (b) you had seen whales being killed for yourself.

If you've ever played online games, basically there's two types of player. What they call 'Suicide Noobs'-their tactics are of very little use, involve a very early death and when they die they blame eveyone else very loudly-and those that actually stay alive and win the battle.

Guess who the Sea Shepherd mob are...

Er, that's right. He'd say "Eeeeeeeoooooooooowwwwwwweeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiii" and we'd not hear him 'cos I don't allow whales to post on RIBnet. They can be quite a nuisance, registering with false ewhale accounts and bothering the other spammin. Generally I either issue them with a Cetacean or dive straight in and read them their Rights.

I was just thinking about what Derek and Clive had to say on the subject.

If any buyer was concerned about the smoke from the engine "They all do that, Sir" would cover it - 'all' being the one boat.

When do the tubes go on?

You're right my conservation credentials are not in doubt, but in the time it took you to make that post ... I could have conned two grannies at Asda from their life savings and ye haaad my small rib into a 10000 tonne whaler .. Wrecked my boat and lost all their funds .. achieved nothing... and nearly lost my own life ..... That will sort the problem won't it ?

Clearly this kind of direct action doesn't fit with you political views. However, I think you're rather naive to say organisations like Greenpeace or Sea Shepherd make no difference or that without their lobbying governments could be relied on to act in the interests of marine conservation.

I didn't mention any organisations .. But I know the ones you mentioned have a function. Pissing people's money into the wind shouldn't be one of them though particularly on expensive boats .. Hey ho .. Perhaps they'll give this one a miss

Greenpeace busted on environmental law - US news - Environment | NBC News

OOps!

of course with the environment no one should ever make any mistakes should they? and then should never compound it by running away against a direct order from the authorities???

Just thinking about glass houses and stones.......
