Tomorrow, oh tomorrow...

is the weather actually going to allow me to use my rib tomorrow?

anybody else seeing this one day gap in the weather? or are the forecasters telling porkies to raise national morale!?

Goin down ...

I'm going to play boats. Don't know if this is on the water, or fitting 'stuff' to it in the barn. (Nav lights and fishfinder) for those evenings drifting round the needles catching dinner ....

save the barn jobs for next weekend... tomorrow, apparently, is summer!

I'm with you Chris. Tomorrow looks like the only chance we'll get for another weekend and I for one am not going to miss this chance

where is everyone going then?

I might make Hamble/Cowes for an afternoon blast - or maybe Christchurch?

launching from hamble hopefully about 10ish, maybe to cowes, but might be a bit bumpy for me, will have to see - otherwise making fast weird shapes in southampton water... (a bit like when you let a dog off the lead after being housebound for 5 weeks)!!

So this is where everyone is...thought I was misisng something.
Thought I'd misread the forecast

Tomorrow still looking good, hoping to be at Calshot for about 1030 to 1100 so Pompy by about 1130, but have to drive to Hayling Island to collect oil before going to Drivers

Lucky Ribster - are you launching at Camber?

Well it wasn't exactly what you'd call summer out there today, but coming back across the solent was the best fun i've had this year, nice long waves (well long for a 4m anyway!) took a total soaking but lots of smooth satisfying landings.

Got a lot in today, Left aylesbury at about 8.30am straight down to hamble & launch - then the folly for lunch and back to hamble and recover and wash off then home to aylesbury by 5pm! Now I have to go see Transformers, which I will probably sleep through...

Shame it wasn't what was forecast - back up here in bucks it's a pretty nice day still.

Hi Chris,
Unfortunately just can't trust the forecasts at the moment.
We left Surry at 8 this morning and blazing sunshine.
Down do Southampton, easy cruise in the sun over to Pompey, met Biggles with Lucky Ribster.
Made for Nab tower, then decided to turn back and headed to cowes for lunch.
Sun had gone by this tim
Back over to the top of Soutampton WAter, where we left Lucky Ribster and Biggles and made our way back to Drivers. And already home. So busy day for us too with a lot packed in. Despite the weather not being what was promised, we had a fab day on the water

Looked for you playing in S. Water, but were probably too late, it was about 4pm

Kr

well certainly sounds like you made the most of it! after our rather wet solent crossing and seeing the rain sweeping across the new forest we thought we'd make a dash for home, so were back in hamble by two. But i had to be back quick tonight anyway!
