Maersk Line can confirm that Maersk Salina, while in operation and situated in the Bay of Biscay, lost a number of containers with general cargo into sea during the night between Sunday 27 and Monday 28 October. Crew is safe and accounted for and no damage was reported to the vessel. French maritime authorities were informed and it has been agreed to call nearest harbor to discharge a few containers still at risk of falling overboard before continuing the voyage towards Zeebrugge, Belgium. Maersk Line is in the process of contacting affected customers and will update with more information when available.

Not such a damp squib..

For this unlucky owner .....I saw today while finally doing a river on the river.

I think its an arctic 22 with an inboard ( from seeing it a few weeks ago) and had the hull painted etc ....

Its up the Stour River - about a mile from Christchurch Harbour entrance ...

I'm sure who ever owns it is aware as the moorings guys are good along there at keeping an eye out.

The trees there are big and are right on the river bank - so often seem to 'let go' into the river....

One to think about if you have mooring under trees or trees over the boat on a drive.

Barking up the wrong tree if you ask me! Probably belonged to the special branch. I take it the owner was contacted by a trunk call!
It will all be in the log book.
