Stars Wars. The Force Awakens.

Is it just me that thought it was as big an anti climax as Xmas day?

Decent enough film but it wasn't "Star Wars"

Feeling cheated.

Just you. It seems that everyone else who has seen it is raving about it, and several people that I know have already been to see it multiple times.

On the other hand some people will never be disappointed by it because they have absolutely no intention of ever watching it:

...I haven't been disappointed yet either, Boss.

P.S. You left your light saber under a pod seat at Easdale...

I'm with you Alan. Thing is Disney paid a small fortune for the rights to the film so it's pay-back time. Once the hype machine starts, it takes on a life of its own.

I went to the cinema probably through nostalgia having seen the original film back in '77. Ray the new character is excellent and will be a future star. Very believable. However a number of things let it down for me.

The new storm-troopers just aren't menacing enough. The rebel alliance's base looks like it was built overnight at a disused airfield at Sutton Coalfield. And to top it all Harrison Ford probably insisted they did his shots back to back. He wanted the original character killed off years ago. Money talks though.

I give it 3 stars out of 5, and I'm being overly generous.

Sorry but it was brilliant!!
Great film, nostalgic respect for the past, and setting it up perfectly for the next.

And I think you are wrong about Harrison Ford. I believe they are planning a Han Solo spin off film...

Just bought the DVD and wish I hadn't, I agre with someone else comment about re-cycled, the plot was recycled, the charators recycled and even some of the scenes, basically a remake of the first star wars film of the original trilogy, same plot, same villain, same heroes, same scenes ... very poor indeed, I could have come up with a better plot in 30minutes over a beer on the bag of a fag packet.

You've obviously missed your true calling in life - Disney will be kicking themselves...

Warming up. We were on the water there last Friday - lotta security and we were asked to not post photos on Social Media. Our National Broadcaster must have missed the memo:
