Some snow here, I'd guess a couple of inches. Can't download pics due to IT issues, bloody modem is mis-behaving.
Last time it snowed down here I was driving around in an A6 Allroad with what I would call mild offroad General Grabber tyres. This year I am driving around in a standard four wheel drive A6, with Pirelli road tyres. The difference is phenomenal. I prefer to drive my lads 10 year old Fiesta in these conditions

Set off at 10 a.m. from Twickenham. M3 snowing heavily, M4 snowed consistently Taunton. Exeter just drizzle and Lerryn nice and dry, just started raining an hour ago.
Journey took 4 hrs 15 mins.....average time despite 45-50mph average to Bristol. Motorways were relatively empty. But get this, despite four accidents in my direction, the cars were on hard shoulder or (even better ) left on the inside lane where the ploughs had to go around them!!!
But the most astonishing one was a Merc Sprinter on it's roof on the hard shoulder just past Swindon. Nobody hurt, least no blood. But work out the C of G on that Sprinter and just how baffling is that result?

Just had to drive Mrs P's Megane up the hill from our house for the first time this winter as her efforts ended in failure due to the snow ! I'm always curious as to why some people struggle with the technique of driving in difficult conditions ?
Given that we have a Defender with Goodrich Muds & a ML with Avon Rangers that have both been out already for a play why take the Megane?

Love this very quirky 60's film about mostly steam trains in the snow in the UK. The music was done by some of the mob that did Dr Who.

What happened to the wrong type of snow that the present railways operators winge about. Love the workers with spades and no other safety kit they insist on today.

Also 1963 was the biggest snow fall UK has seen I believe where 4-6 foot drifts stopped most of country

More snow in London today probably up to a whole three inches now. Anyway, saw this on the embankment yesterday and I found it amusing.
