Sky+

I need to save some money on my Sky subscription.

I have Sky+ which I really like for its recording facility. I would be happy to receive just the FreeView channels as long as I could use my Sky+ box to record programmes. Is this possible?

I am currently paying £52.50 per month and don't watch any of the films and only the odd footy match. Any tips very much appreciated.

You could always consider one of those new-fangled DVD recorders that have a hard disk in them allowing up to 130 hours of recording. About £300 or so. If recording a program you can start watching it before it finishes (if that makes sense )

You could then hire the films you want to watch from the local video store and blag your way into a mates house to watch the footy.

Or just record to your computer and then save to DVD - you can even get a gadget now - usb UIRT which in conjuction with Beyond TV works in the same way as sky+

Buy a new puter using the money you'll save on the Sky+!
